156: Dumb Bunny Progress
I worked on several projects today, but didn't finish any of it.
Here's the inks progress on the latest Dumb Bunny commission...
P.S. In retrospect it looks like she has one breast, so I'll be adding some shadows to give the impression that there are two of them on her chest :)

151: Dumb Bunny and White Feather
Here we have Dumb Bunny and the cowardly White Feather. When these pencils are done there will be a small lion cub in front of them.

Dumb Bunny and Merry Man Juggling
Finished the commission earlier. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. If I would change anything it would be the horizon line. I'd lover it a little bit. As is it gives the impression of a vast space behind them.

Sketch 131: Dumb Bunny and Awkward Man!
This is the full preliminary pencils for a commission featuring DC's Dumb Bunny and Awkward Man. The only change I need to make before moving on to the inks is to thicken up Dumb Bunny's legs. I made them a little thinner than they are in the reference pic. I'm also going to add a little background detail.

Dumb Bunny and Merry Man!
This is Dumb Bunny of DC's "Inferior Five" and her team mate, Merry Man (who, according to Wikipedia, was modeled after Woody Allen).
I experimented with shadows in this drawing. After some reflection on past works I realized that too often my figures are flat because of lack of contrast. Lately I've been studying some great examples by other artists of the past and present, from Jack Kirby, all the way to Chris Samnee (who, if you're not familiar with, is well worth checking out).
While my goal is never to ape or imitate another artist, I'm always anxious to learn new techniques to give my art more substance.
